Convenient, capable, and affordable, the E-flite® UMX™ Timber® X combines the fly-almost-anywhere advantages of the UMX Turbo Timber with the unique capabilities of the larger Timber X 1.2m. Compared to the ultra-micro Timber models that came before it, its brushless power system features a 3S-compatible outrunner motor and the wing has a shortened span, larger ailerons plus an enlarged elevator and rudder. On low rates, the controls can be smooth and docile. On high rates, they deliver eXtreme 3D capability — to fly as mild or as wild as you'd like! The full-span ailerons can also be used as flaperons for improved slow flight and STOL performance. Spektrum™ AS3X® and optional-use SAFE® Select technologies are included for easier flying, and the control unit/flight controller provides real-time flight battery voltage telemetry and other data to compatible Spektrum AirWare™ equipped transmitters. Oversized, tundra-style wheels soak up bumps and offer excellent prop clearance. Fly from grass, gravel paths, dirt trails, paved, and other surfaces, outdoors in yards, parks, sports fields and beyond, or indoors in suitable spaces including gymnasiums. Install optional floats (EFLUA1190, sold separately) to add large pools, small ponds, and lakes to your flying site options. Included LED landing, navigation and simulated strobe lights make it possible to fly from earlier to even later in the day. Constructed of advanced EPS material for a lightweight but durable airframe, the UMX Timber X arrives 100% factory-assembled and ready to bind to your 5+ channel DSMX®/DSM2® equipped transmitter. That means you can be flying within minutes of opening the box!
Already own a Spektrum™ transmitter? Bind-N-Fly® (BNF®) aircraft make getting into the air quickly and with the best control experience possible easier than ever. They come out of the box with the power system, servos and a Spektrum 2.4GHz receiver installed so all you need to do is bind the receiver to a compatible transmitter, finish any final assembly, and fly!
The UMX™ Timber® X is equipped with a control unit/flight controller that includes an ESC and Spektrum™ receiver that provides real-time flight battery voltage telemetry to compatible Spektrum AirWare™ equipped transmitters (including the DX6e and 8e, DX6 G2/G3 and 8 G2, the DX9, NX6, 8 and 10, the iX12, iX20 and others) while you fly.
This ultra-micro Timber® X is equipped with exclusive Spektrum™ AS3X® and SAFE® Select technologies. AS3X works behind the scenes to smooth out the effects of wind and turbulence to deliver a locked-in feel that makes it seem like you're flying a much larger airplane. Optional-use SAFE® Select offers pitch and bank angle limits along with automatic self-leveling that can be turned on and off at the flip of a switch to make it easier to fly!

The factory-installed brushless power system features a 3S-compatible outrunner motor that makes it possible to hover with ease and delivers unlimited vertical performance.
The wing has a shorter span and more chord so it still has plenty of wing area, plus it features full-span ailerons that can be used as flaperons for improved slow flight and STOL performance. These features, along with the lightweight design and high-power brushless motor, make it possible to spring into the air or float down to land in less distance than any other similar class model.
Fly from surfaces that are impossible for most models of this size to handle: grass, gravel paths, dirt trails, paved surfaces, and more.
