First Impressions

Right out of the box, the Mini Slash looks awesome. The clipless body design is super convenient (no fumbling with body clips), and the pre-painted finish really pops. It even has interior details and a driver figure, which makes it feel more “scale” than you’d expect from a 1/16-size truck.

Power & Performance

Don’t let the smaller size fool you—this little truck absolutely rips. Thanks to the brushless BL-2s motor system, it can push past 30 mph with ease. The extended chassis and oil-filled Ultra Shocks help keep it planted, whether you’re bashing in the backyard or carving turns on pavement.

Our YouTube review really showed this off—we were impressed by how responsive the throttle felt and how well it handled rough terrain without getting twitchy or unstable. Watching it tear across dirt and grass in their video definitely confirmed it's fast, but it's really controllable. 

Build Quality

Traxxas didn’t cut corners here. The drivetrain borrows a lot from their bigger 1/10-scale trucks—like sealed planetary differentials and beefy steel gears—just scaled down. It gives the Mini Slash the durability you need if you’re going to send it (and let’s be honest, you’re going to send it).

The licensed BFGoodrich tires also hook up surprisingly well. We've ran it across loose dirt, gravel, and short grass, and it stays grippy without feeling like it’s going to flip at every turn.
